The first major solo exhibition in Japan in four years of the works of Jun Oson. An illustrator who works in a wide range of fields, Oson’s works include book cover design, book illustration and product design, mainly for advertising and animations.
Oson, based in Kamakura, Japan, is active in a variety of mediums. He draws for NHK ETV’s television show, Ahare! Meisaku-kun and has illustrated a“Tokyo Metro Manners Poster” for the Metro Cultural Foundation. He also designed tour merchandise for musician Gen Hoshino’s Pop Virus, and continues to illustrate for TV Asahi’s Gekirea-san wo Tsuretekita. In recent years, he has been focusing on creating original artwork and has shown work in a solo exhibition at the Moods Art Museum in Beijing.
D_I_S_T_A_N_C_E will feature more than 20 new paintings, including large-scale pieces. In addition to the works on display, character figurines, T-shirts, badges, and other related merchandise made specifically for the exhibition will be available for sale. ( 2020-10-30 ~ 2021-02-04 )
